Well, here we are at the end of the first trimester. The baby is now growing rapidly, although most of the development (organs, skeletal structure, etc.) is already complete. Basically from now till the end of the second trimester the baby is just going to get bigger in a hurry. Right now the baby is about 2-1/2 to 3 inches, about the size of a peach (again with the food references, I know). The baby's weight is around 13 to 20 grams (my weight is not a topic of discussion).
Life has been quite busy of late, what with the new job, planning the wedding, and getting ready for our dance team showcase. (Quick plug: Madison Memorial Union, Saturday, April 19th, 9pm. Be there or be square!) And yes I am going to do a quickstep in heels four months pregnant! Life seems to be on an upswing though: after getting over this cold I am sleeping much better, I feel like I'm getting into a solid routine at work, and as wedding planning is getting easier as Chris and I get more things sorted. I think its a positive way to start off the next thirteen weeks.

Glad you're feeling better! I enjoyed my second trimester a lot. It's fun when the baby stops being a sea monkey and starts kicking.
Also, on sore hips - I found that physical therapy helped a lot, and after 2 or 3 weeks I slept well most nights. If you've got insurance to pay for it, it's great.
