Our New Home

We've been working on our new home for a couple of weeks now, and we're feeling more and more comfortable. Here's what our progress looks like so far:

The pictures I took of the living room and the master bedroom didn't turn out and our camera died shortly after I took these. I'll post new photos when we touch everything up.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, Ghandi is protecting Luca from the fireplace. We haven't figured out a solution for covering the fireplace yet, so Ghandi, in his poster frame, along with a box of shoes and two speakers, are keeping Luca out of the fireplace. I have an idea for covering it with a large piece of thick plastic and a couple of very powerful magnets.

In other news, Luca is still reluctant to walk. He takes steps when we hold his hands, and it seems like he's still trying to get his balance. In the past day or two, he's started to bounce to music on some of his toys - rudimentary dance steps! He's doing well at pre-school, too. And his first birthday is coming up in a few weeks!
